The Poppy Factory has helped disabled veterans back into work since 1922, producing Remembrance products in its Richmond factory. Work continues there to this day but in 2010, the charity launched an employability service, which now represents around 90% of its support to veterans. Every year, The Poppy Factory helps hundreds of veterans with a mental or physical health condition to thrive in the civilian workplace, wherever they are based in England and Wales.
The refurbishment futureproofs the needs of The Poppy Factory through accessibility improvements to the existing factory, a new structural link between the existing buildings, flexible commercial space and a new front of house offering for staff and visitors alike.
G&T was appointed as client representative to consult and support The Poppy Factory through the course of the refurbishment and was actively involved with the design team, contractor and third parties to ensure The Poppy Factory's interests were supported with technical advice.
