Sotheby's, the famous New York City auction house, celebrated its 275th anniversary by opening its doors to a newly designed exhibition gallery.

The goal was to transform the existing 67,000 sq ft gallery space into a 90,000 sq ft museum-quality space, including the formation of new gallery spaces and 40,000 sq ft of new office space and property storage.

The project involved extensive structural alterations to form double-height gallery spaces, a state-of-the-art digital signage package and replacement of all passenger and freight elevator cars. All work was carried out in an occupied building, phased around Sotheby's key exhibitions and shows.
