Latest milestone in Paddington's Transformation

The newly opened entrance to Paddington Underground station marks the latest upgrade to one of London’s most connected transport hubs, linking several Underground lines and offering direct access to the UK’s busiest airport via the Heathrow Express.

The expanded ticket hall now doubles the number of ticket gates, from 5 to 11, and introduces two new lifts, providing step-free access to the Bakerloo line platform for the first time. This development creates a spacious entrance for both the Bakerloo and District & Circle lines, while seamlessly connecting the newly pedestrianised piazza with the Underground network.

Paddington Underground station now sits beneath the new Paddington Square development, a project by Great Western Developments. This landmark addition, featuring an 18-storey glass and steel structure, world-class public spaces and both Underground and rail stations, stands as the centrepiece of Paddington’s regeneration.

The development offers 35 retail and restaurant units with areas from 138 sq ft to 10,500 sq ft, a 1.35-acre public square, 350,000 sq ft of office space and a rooftop restaurant which is 14,000 sq ft inside with 6,000 sq ft of terrace space.
