Climate action: NHS estates - operational net zero

As one of the UK’s largest estate owners (and accounting for 4-5% of the UK’s total carbon footprint), the NHS published a report in October 2020 called ‘Delivering a ‘net zero’ National Health Service'.

In the report the NHS sets out its pathway to net zero carbon emissions and provides targets for the emissions the NHS controls directly and for the emissions the NHS can influence.
