Redefining the gallery's identity as a national institution
'Inspiring People' project resolves long-standing challenges

The sensitive adaptation of the Grade I Listed building included the creation of a new accessible entrance and forecourt, refurbishment of the gallery spaces, comprehensive re-presentation of the collection and provision of a new learning centre, F&B and retail spaces.
The project has transformed the presence of the Gallery with improved visitor circulation and experience, increased functionality and opportunities for income generation, together with enhanced display spaces.
