G&T volunteers helped out at BOSS Day at Kingsford Community School helping to inspire students about careers in the built environment.
Building Opportunities and Skills Seminars (BOSS) is a programme designed for Year 10 and 11 students to learn job-seeking skills such as interview techniques and CV writing.
Volunteers discussed how the pandemic had re-shaped their work lives, how more organisations were embracing flexible working and sharing new initiatives that have developed because of COVID-19 and we heard from the students about how the pandemic had affected their learning.
We explored what we (as experienced professionals) could do to better engage young people whose education or career steps had been impacted by the changes experienced throughout the past two years.
