Duolingo, a globally recognised language-learning platform, sought to establish a new 40,000 RSF headquarters in New York that would reflect its distinctive brand identity and support its mission-driven, inclusive culture. The challenge lay in delivering a space that balanced creativity with functionality, while accommodating diverse workplace needs and maintaining design excellence throughout.

G&T provided Project Management, Cost Management, Due Diligence and Lease Services, ensuring the project progressed seamlessly from concept through to completion. Working closely with LB Architects, RAPT Studio and contractor Structure Tone, we helped realise a vibrant workplace that incorporates open-plan workstations, playful design elements, and amenities tailored for both collaboration and focus. Every element – from the six-foot-tall digital character portraits to the inclusive environments for neurodiverse staff – was carefully managed to align with Duolingo’s values and operational needs.

Duolingo’s new headquarters is a dynamic and engaging space that captures the spirit of the brand while fostering innovation and employee wellbeing. With amenities including a coffee bar, cafeteria, reading room, and dedicated quiet zones, the office not only enhances day-to-day working life but also stands as a testament to thoughtful, inclusive workplace design.
