Designed by Penoyre & Prasad, the new building will provide 46,000 sq ft of Grade A office space over five open plan floors offering tenants highly flexible accommodation.
Bath Quays South achieved a number of major project milestones in 2020 despite the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis. This included the delivery and lift of the bridge superstructure, the completion of piling to the North and South bank and the topping out of the office development.
Located in Bath city centre, the bridge will be the first new crossing point over the River Avon in Bath for 100 years and will provide a new route for pedestrians and cyclists connecting the Bath North and South Quays developments.
This has been a momentous few weeks in terms of milestones for the Bath Quays project. After more years of dormancy of the Stothert and Pitt site than many would like to acknowledge, the project team are collectively breathing new life back into the site that in the current circumstances, arguably marks the beginning of a new chapter for the city. We live in extraordinary times, making the continued progress all the more significant and the challenges the team have collectively overcome are immense.

We are proud to be contributing to the B&NES regeneration of this part of Bath City Centre. The challenges of delivering a complicated set of flood defence works in parallel with the new office building and bridge have been overcome by the genuinely collaborative relationship that exists between client, contractors and designers. This collaboration has needed to reach new levels as we seek ways to safely progress the works during these testing times. Even tougher challenges may well lay ahead but we will draw on the collective team commitment as we plan towards to the successful delivery of the scheme.
