Believed to be the largest speculative office development ever undertaken in Bristol, the AXA/Bell Hammer scheme will deliver 320,000 sq ft across three buildings located around a new waterfront public realm.
The scheme promises to deliver a thriving workplace with a focus on staff wellbeing providing rooftop amenity space, south facing balconies and 'best in class' cycle and changing facilities.
Once complete, the three buildings will house commercial office space and retail stores. The development is targeting a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating, WELL enabled design and Wiredscore Platinum accreditation for connectivity.
Works carried on through the COVID-19 pandemic following government guidelines and a virtual event for the wider project team marked the ‘topping out’ of the first phase, the 11-storey Building A, at the development in July.
A planning application for phase 2 has also been submitted, which will add two further office buildings to the development.
It is a fantastic achievement to reach this stage at Assembly and although we haven’t been able to mark it in the usual way, we still were able to make an acknowledgment of the tremendous efforts of the team.
